5 Great Resources for Mac Apps

If you are anything like me, you are always on the prowl for the "perfect apps" for your Mac. Luckily, there is no better way to find those app than to check these five favorite resources of mine. Check it out:

#5 - Version Tracker

Though Version Tracker is a thorough source of apps, the website's list layout can be a little overwhelming at first. Try narrowing with the Editor's'  Pick tabs and the updated app tab.

Visit Version Tracker here: http://www.versiontracker.com

#4 - Mac Update

Mac Update has been around forever (well apparently not forever) and is very similar to Version Tracker as it to has the overwhelming list view, but you will not complain of a shortage of apps here.

#3 - iUseThis.com

This app was very close to making #2, as I love the concept. You can search for apps and it lists how many other users use that particular app. Now fair warning, the number of users is WAAAAYY off because the number of users are based on who actually votes, but you can kind of tell the popularity of an app based on the numbers. A bonus to iUseThis.com is the fact that you can also find your iPhone apps this way. YAY!

Visit iUseThis.com here: http://osx.iusethis.com/

You can even check out how many users use Cram, http://osx.iusethis.com/search?q=cram , and even let people know that you use Cram!

#2 - App Bodega

App Bodega is actually an app itself (go figure) that lists a plethora of apps, a few screenshots of each app,  and links to reviews written by third party sources. It's a spiffy looking little app and commonly duped 'The App Store for the Mac' . So download the App Bodega app and download some other apps that you may find while browsing.

#1 - Apple.com Downloads, of course

Yes. In my humble little opinion, Apple has the best list of all for finding that "perfect mac app". Apple's list is organized by recently add, categories, most popular, and my favorite "Apple Staff Pick".

Well, chow for now!
