How-To: Delete Applications from your BlackBerry

You've been downloading all of these cool apps to your BlackBerry and you stumbled across a few apps that just didn't quite fit your needs. It's ok, because you can remove them and it's easy to do.

  1. From your home screen, click on the "Options" button.

  2. From the list select "Advanced Options".

  3. From this list select, "Applications".

  4. Note: Wait for your list to load (it may take a moment based on the the quantity and how large your apps are on your BlackBerry). At this point I also advise using your BlackBerry Desktop Manager to back-up any of your data, including the app you may deleting .

  5. When you application list finally loads, browse the list and select which application you would like to delete.

  6. When you find the application you would like to delete, hover and from the BlackBerry menu, select "Delete".

  7. Confirm that you would like to delete the application by selecting "Delete".

  8. Once you confirm, again, it may take a few seconds to delete ( you will see the loading indicator while this is going).

  9. Once the BlackBerry is done deleting the app, it will prompt you to "Restart Now". Only do this if you plan on not deleting any more apps this session, as the process becomes very slow to delete and restart after the deletion of each application.

Your are officially done deleting your first BlackBerry application after the restart. Congrats, now go and install more, lol!

FYI...for the iPhone Users, I have already written a post about deleting apps from your iPhone if you need it ... How-To: Delete iPhone Apps .
